Even though some information was not new to me, personally, this is very valuable book either for the "beginners" in natural health or people who study and educate themselves for a while. I have learned some new facts on the nutrition and was excited to try them (e.g. fight the infections by eating more raw healing vegetables).
Dr. Fabrizio Mancini is a doctor of chiropractic and the president of Parker University in Dallas, Texas. He became one of the youngest presidents of university in the U.S. (33 years old). Originally from Colombia, him and his family relocated to Miami in 1978. He was a student on the way to become a neurosurgeon when he became fascinated by chiropractic, because it taught him that the body is designed to heal itself and that without proper health we are limited in every area of our lives.
In this book Dr. Mancini is not just talking about chiropractic, but he's talking about physical, emotional and spiritual health, therefore self healing can occur when these three aspects are aligned.
"The greatest miracle on Earth is the human body. It is stronger and wiser than you may realize, and improving its ability to self heal is within your control."
"Start believing in your innate ability to self heal, provide your body with the right nutrients and other self-repairing tools, remove negative obstacles... and your body will begin to heal."
"I think that sometimes we get stuck and severely limit ourselves. I mean, that we become paralyzed by the circumstances that we're thrown into rather than looking at a situation as an opportunity to grow and become a better person - a more powerful human being."
"The word 'doctor' stems from the Latin word docere, meaning 'to teach'. As a doctor of chiropractic one of my most important jobs is to teach people how to keep themselves healthy and empower them to take responsibility for their own well-being. I always made sure that my patients never left my office without recognizing that they could only achieve their full potential - in their relationships, faith, life's work etc. when they tapped into and worked toward achieving, their ultimate health."
