You will need:
Sauté onion and garlic with olive oil on medium heat. Add chopped carrots and celery, season with salt, pepper, marjoram and oregano. Pour in the water, broth and split peas. Let it boil for 5 minutes, then reduce the heat and simmer for 25-30 minutes until the peas are tender. Season to taste. Makes 4 servings. Enjoy!
