I love peppers. And I love burgers too. But only those that are homemade and real. Like this incredibly juicy turkey burger stuffed with peppers and cheese.
This recipe could be another fantastic 30-minute meal from my recipe collection, since it is very easy to assemble and make. And most importantly, easy to EAT!
Let's start cooking!

(Please, make sure you buy organic ground turkey whenever possible! Conventional ground turkey is pumped up with antibiotics. According to the study of the University of Maryland, 24 percent of ground turkey sampled came back positive for Salmonella. And some of that Salmonella was resistant to antibiotics.
According to the new study from Consumer Reports more than 90 percent of ground turkey samples contained at least one of the five bacteria the test was looking for - Salmonella, Staphylococcus Aureus, E.coli, Enterococcus and Campylobacter.)
Divide turkey into 4 equal sized rounds. Make 2 equal sized patties out of each round, so you have 8 patties total. Sprinkle 4 of the patties with salt and pepper, 2 tablespoons of peppers and cheese and top with remaining patties working the turkey around the edges to seal burgers closed. Sprinkle the burgers with a little salt and pepper again. Grill or broil until cooked through, about 5 minutes per side. Delicious!
I served them on a bun with more cheese, sauteéd mushrooms and some bean sprouts. Now that's a healthy dinner!
