Vitamin A and Vitamin E

Vitamin A is involved in gene activation and protein synthesis. It is important for the proper function of the immune system. It enhances the activity of phagocytes, reduces adhesion of bacteria to the lining of the airways. It is required for the development of cell and its deficiency leads to a lack of IgA antibodies, which are necessary to maintain the function of barrier mucosa, and IgG antibodies, that prepare for phagocytosis.


It is therefore necessary for treating such as influenza or measles. It is an excellent source of β-carotene (and other 50-60 from a total of 400 known carotenoids), from which the body can produce the necessary amount of vitamin A without the risk of overdose, but the level of this skill is different for each individual person. Vitamin A is needed for normal growth and development of the body, especially for healthy bones and teeth. It protects against mucosal infections and is the basis for the formation of photosensitive pigments essential to vision. An important source of this vitamin are liver, milk and egg yolk. Deficiency can lead to degeneration of ocular tissues and growth retardation.

Vitamin E works in indissoluble pair with vitamin C. Vitamin E is the first line of defense against certain free radicals and it is a major fat-soluble antioxidant, making it of great importance in the protection of cell membranes, brain and peripheral nerves, including slowing down the process of degenerative diseases.

Vitamin C regenerates vitamin E then for future use, glutathione turn regenerates vitamin C etc. Their combined effect is usually much greater than the individual, but research in this area is just getting started. Vitamin E reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease and cancer. It increases low blood platelet count, reduces the oxygen requirements of tissues, dissolves clots and prevents embolism, one of the regulators of metabolism of fats and proteins.

It promotes muscle strength, protects nerve fibers from degeneration. Vitamin E is essential for cell protection and antioxidant that is responsible for normal growth and muscle development, function, circulatory, nervous and digestive systems. An important source of this vitamin are vegetable oils, nuts, whole grains and green leafy vegetables.
